Rebranded Smokefree resources now available

Some of the most popular Smokefree resources have been updated to feature new content, as well as the new Smokefree brand images and colours. These resources include the main Smokefree guide, relapse booklet, planner and support leaflet. You can order them via the Resources page

Four of the most popular Smokefree resources have been updated with new content and redesigned using the new brand images and colours.

1.         Main Smokefree guide

This is a newer version of ‘Stop smoking, start living’, and is our main guide to helping smokers quit for good. It’s full of tips on how to quit and includes advice on the NHS support services available. The booklet now features an interactive planner that takes smokers through the four key steps to quitting smoking. The guide is a helpful tool for smokers who are using local NHS Stop Smoking Services to help them quit.

2.         Relapse booklet

This redesigned booklet provides information and advice for people who have tried to stop smoking before and are trying again. Most people need several attempts before they stop smoking for good. This booklet is useful for smokers who are trying to give quitting another go by encouraging them to use their experience to try again.

3.         Planner

Motivation and small rewards help to keep people motivated through their quit attempt. This new Quit Plan – an updated version of the previous wall planner – helps smokers through the keys stages – ‘Think’, ‘Prepare’, ‘Quit’ and ‘Stop for Good’. The chart has been developed based on the success of the chart provided in Quit Kits. It helps smokers to track their progress on the 28-day wall calendar and use the helpful daily tips to quit smoking one day at a time. The planner is useful for smokers who are choosing to go it alone, or as extra support for smokers who are using local NHS Stop Smoking Services to motivate them in between appointments.

4.         Support leaflet

This booklet provides detailed information on the free NHS support services available. These include local NHS Stop Smoking Services; support at home with the Smokefree Together Programme; the NHS Smoking Helpline and the Smokefree website. The leaflet also gives brief advice on Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) and other stop smoking medicines available on prescription.  This leaflet is useful for GPs, healthcare professionals and other local supporters to provide to smokers as it provides information on all the NHS support available to help them quit.
