New secondhand smoke training module
The National Centre for Smoking Cessation & Training (NCSCT) has launched a new online training module for health and social care professionals to help protect children and families from the harms of secondhand smoke.
The new, free online training module has been developed for anyone who comes into contact with smokers and their families. There are short film clips to demonstrate possible interactions with families, building knowledge and skills to deliver the intervention, as well as information on the harms caused by secondhand smoke and why it is important to raise the issue.
There is also a short assessment with a certificate available on successful completion to provide evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
For more information and to take the training visit the NCSCT website.

Who could doubt the admirable results that these new educational policies will have, given the huge benefits that recent smoking legislation is having on our health. Speaking as someone who has never smoked ‘first hand’, but worked for many years in smoky bars and clubs, I’m only too aware of how detrimental ‘secondhand’ smoking can be.
Good on you for your efforts to coax us all towards good health.

has a x smekor i used zyben but a smekor won’t stop unless they want to the more you push them the more they well stand there ground when he ready to stop he let you know ! no program you ask him to do well work unless he ready . you could try asking him to change many of teh ways he smokes like smoke in one room of the house , smoke 1 hour after meals he need to change his habits of how he smokes , like no smoking at the table don’t have smoke on you while your home .in the car no smoking this does help when they change the way there habits is when they smoke .

I was a smoker for 20 years, it has siloeusry effected my health, I couldnt run at all, I struggled to walk up the stairs. I decided I had to give up, at the age of 36 I felt like I was an old man and ready for the scrapyard. I tried various ways to give up and really struggled. Then I actually tried self hypnosis and that actually did the trick for me. Yes I out on a few pounds in weight for a couple of months, but I soon stopped the over eating and things went back to normal. Its taken me over a year now but I do feel so much better, I can actually jog up the stairs and my kids are so pleased to see me being active.[]
