| Glad to say that after an awful day 10 (7 days ago) I haven't had such a bad time since. Had to go to give evidence in Court yesterday (for work!) and REALLY wanted a cigarette, but managed to resist temptation to go and buy 10. I felt so pleased with myself afterwards. Still having disturbed nights though, so feeling quite tired and also some very vivid dreams. Am using patches but only 16 hour ones, so not sure whether the dreams are a result of the NRT or just because of giving up. Still, I keep telling myself it can only get better. This message wall really helps. Well done to everyone and let's keep going |

| Day 30 for me. Using 14mg patches& 2mg gum. Finding the gum very helpful.I take the patch off at night so I don't have the strong dreams. It really helps!
Promised myself a good haircut if I did the month, so went with my daughter & grandaughters to a good hairdresser, and felt very proud of myself!
Ifeel that this time I will give up the evil weed.
Can't think of any good it does for me. Keep getting chest inf. which last for 8 weeks and the cough is awful!!!
Feeling so much better now .
So lets keep going.WE CAN DO IT!!!!!!!! |

| Wow reading these messages has made me realise that I've had it pretty easy, not being a heavy smoker - maybe 5 a day has made it all the more easy! I actually was smoking those e-lite electric cigarettes for the 1st few weeks of quitting and they really did help, especially when out drinking - I felt like I wasn't missing out! They are no different to the nicorette inhalers, just it doesn't look like your smoking a tampax! I'm now on my 30th day without a cigarette feeling proud! I am suffering with a bad chest infection right now - maybe it's related maybe it's not but all I know is that it's worth it so keep going and you'll feel amazing! |

| Hi, I quit today. Actually I feel fine, it's been only 9 hours but I don't really feel any cravings. The only thing I'm terrified of is a long-term constipation, starting tomorrow and weight gain. Not sure I'll be able to deal with that and don't have anyone to support me... Hope I don't fail to myself! If you have any tips on how to keep your metabolism going, please let me know. I already do a lot of physical execise and eat healthy, so I need something extra ;))) |

| Hi Nicky E - thanks for the support. It really helps to know other people have gone through the same and have managed to keep off the cigs. I feel a bit better than I did the other day but I think I'm learning to expect good days and bad days instead of expecting to just keep feeling better and better. Thanks again and all the best to everyone who's going through it |
